2021 marks 25 years since half a dozen of us met up at the Board Inn to launch this great club. The club has achieved a lot over the years, and hope to do so for a long time.Since then, the club has grown into a well respected and friendly North East classic club. First off is our membership package, which, as standard we offer a FREE Morgan’s Yearbook 2020, a must for anyone attending Classic Car Shows. (Morgan’s Yearbook is £5 to buy), FREE £5m Public Liability Insurance within the club. You will receive the above items on renewal or new memberships this year. Our membership renewal will start at our February club meeting at The Farmers Arms, in Ryhope on Thursday 6th February at 7-30pm.All for only £15 a year, Download a membership form from here,
We organise at least six of our own great events per year, plus we attend many other shows as a club, and organise trips to museums and other events such as the NEC .
Our first show of the year is the very popular Start of Season show at the Ryhope Engines Museum on 4th April More information on our events can be found on our Facebook page or our website www.sunderlandclassicvehicles.org/#!sdcvs-club-events/c1gyt

ABOUT OUR CLUB
The first informal meeting of the society was held in the Board Inn on Durham road, Sunderland, on Thursday 7th February 1996. This was followed by a Formation Meeting at the Nissan Sports and Social Club, Washington. In October of the same year the meeting place was changed to the Prospect Public House in Sunderland.
The club has a reputation for being friendly, welcoming and helpful, and is run in a relaxed, informal way by an extremely hard-working committee.
Our Meetings are currently held on the first Thursday of each month at 8pm in the Farmers Club, Ryhope Village, Sunderland (approximately 3 miles south of the city centre on A1018). All are welcome to attend. The car park is at the front of the club. The members of our club work exteremely hard for local charities.
Over the last few years we have raised a substantial amount of money for ''Help for Heroes'', assisting our armed forces who are in war torn countries, and our local RNLI. Sunderland RNLI Lifeboat Station is proud to own the tag of the “Oldest Operational Lifeboat Station” in the Great Britain. Having been established in 1800 and taken over by the RNLI in 1865.
Each year we organise several Shows in the North East of England. Most shows have stands for Specialist and Same-marque cars and certain shows include trade stands. Refreshments are usually available at all venues.
